mad28max
I just bought a new pair of OE rear drums for a S30. I am preparing to install, and the braking surface is coated with some type of black material for rust prevention (paint?). How do I remove this? (so far, brake clean, paint thinner have done nothing) Thanks.
poortecher
Generally, I've found, you want to turn a new set of drums before you put them on the car. Every set of new drums I've gotten has turned out to be enough out of round to be noticeable while braking. So that will kill two birds with one stone.
