Guest bigge_313
Ok here it goes. I currently have a '78 280 that is way too far gone to do anything with. I am about to purchase a '73 240 that has been converted to run a V8. I do not want to put a V8 back in. My question is what is it going to take to get the engine/tranny from my '78 into the '73? I would like to keep it Fi but I am not opposed to running carbs. If I don't use the FI what other parts willl I need to make engine run on carbs? If I use the FI what other parts from my'78 will I need? I know computer/harness but what else? And Will the computer/harness mess up anything else in the '73? Omar
swapping in the l28e wont be too difficult b/c you have a full donor car. thats the best way to go if your doing a swap of a motor that's not originally in the car.

baddriver
Make sure the V8 Z still has the transmission mounts intact or else you will need to do some fabrication to get the z engine back into it. Many v8 transmissions do not fit with the datsun mounts, so they get cut out.
