AgentZ
Hey there, I replaced the rack boots on my Z31 with some off the shelf generic ones. I didnt realise when I brought them but they were to big, I was still able to trim them down to fit diameter wise but the length was too much. I was stupid and trusted the parts monkey when he said they will be fine. Should have thought about it myself. My Fault! The boots it seems created a hell of a vaccuum (from what I can tell) and have managed to screw up the seals. It is so bad that turning the wheels form lock to lock the PS fluid can be heard being sucked past the seals. then back to other lock and it squirts out! Question is do whats the easiest way to replace the seal? DO I meed to pull the rack or can it be done with it still in the car? Cheers!!
