Shift Posted November 2, 2007 Share Posted November 2, 2007 I've searched and didn't really find much. Has anybody done this before? My idea was (as far as the glass goes) 1. Mask off whole outer section and most of the inner section of the glass, leaving 1/8th inch border. 2. etch using etching for glassware (craft store stuff, I know blasting is out of the question) 3.Build a mold using latex and bondo for the border. 4. use urethane as the border and put bungs for mounting while molding. I got some messed up qtr glass (was welding near it and got some splatter on it) laying around that I want to test with. Any advice will be helpful .
