kijana
Hello all, Please refer to my webpage for pictures http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeyavnq/zbee2/id6.html I just wanted to ask for some advice. Am sure this is not the first car to rust at this area, and was wondering what some of you have done. My plans were to totally cut out the rust and replace the metal, but that is turning out to be a headache especially since i don’t have all the metal working equipment. Trying to duplicate the tube like structure that runs along the side is harder than it looks. P.s, if you want to see the rest of the car, please check out my website at http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeyavnq/zbee2/ Thanks in advance. Roostmonkey
You dont have much choice but to replace all that cancer with new metal. Do some searching here and you'll find lots of info from others solving that same problem. Search " frame rails ". One thing to consider, by the time you pay a body shop to do this work, you could buy a mig welder and learn to use it , then do the work yourself ( more satisfying ) and now you have your own welder. kijana
Thanks Roost, i have already come to the realization that the easiest way to do this is replace the whole section. I am currently looking for rust free front clips that i can simply replace mine with. Ill keep you posted on the progress.
