Panamared2000
Hi guys my plan is to swap the 94 vg30dett into my 1973 240z. The vg30dett is only 13,740kilometers. I found this as a good project since I been looking for a good L series engine with no luck:iospalo:. What do you think?
mtcookson
The DETT is definitely a wide and somewhat heavy engine and will be a pain to swap... but if you can pull it off will definitely be fun. I think there might be a few threads on swapping one in on here but I haven't seen too much info on it so you'll mostly be figuring out a lot of the stuff for yourself. I'd go ahead and do a search here and see what you can find, that should get you on your first step at least. Good luck with it!
OlderThanMe
From what I have read you may have to relocate the turbos to clear the frame rails and steering shaft. You can probable just build extensions off of the stock headers...Or mount a single big turbo.
Panamared2000
Hmmm. Sound to me like a lot of work there. Not sure if go that route or wait till I find a good L series engine. BTW how can I post Pictures? Thank You.
