Guest mattrp Posted August 21, 2000 Share Posted August 21, 2000 I made myself a diff strap to suppliment the wussy stock rubber mount. I took 1/16" sheet steel that is 2 inches wide and cut a piece that wraps around the bottom of the diff crossmember and up the sides of the rubber mount. Then I drilled holes into the sides of the diff mount through the sheet metal. Than I installed screws, and crushed the diff onto the mount with a big pry bar. Meanwhile my friend shoved some strips of hard gasket rubber in between the strap and the diff crossmember. Then I put a hole through the rubber and the sheet steel and screwed in a screw to hold the rubber in place. Voila, no more diff clunk from the mount and I didnt have to remove the diff for the retrofit. Matt 72 500Z Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
