Guest Anonymous
How can you tell a run of the mill T5 from the World Class T5? It's not in the car so I can't go by the year.
Guest Fast Frog
The WC T-5 Camaro is built with Timkin Bearings and the name Timkin is is stamped on the main bearing assemble on the front of the tranny. Other T-5s (GM) are built with Torrington Bearings and they are not as "healthy" as the WC.
randy 77zt
i dont know anything about chevy t5s but i am a ford tech so i know about mustang t5s.the oem mustang t5 has a 3.35 ist gear.the wc t5 has a 2.95 1st.the wc t5 is supposed to have stronger gears & bearings in it.if you put trans in first gear and have a bottle of white-out you can check 1st gear.you dont want to buy a used trans and find out you got ripped off.the conversion kit for oem trans to wc trans is $600 to$700 .for that money i would just buy a new wc trans from summit for $1100.
