mannyvig
Well I've finally dug into this unnamed project. Most of you know I got this 11/72 240Z for a steal from a guy who had no idea what he had. When I first saw the car it was busted up, would barely run , and in tons of pieces. I towed it to a nearby relatives house the next day. I threw brake pads on the front and charged the battery. A little gas and it fired up. NONE of the electrical worked not even the brake lights. It ran off battery power only because the Alt was not working. I then drove it 40 miles to the dealership where I work. The car as I got it: L28 flat top block E31 L24 head Triple Mikuni 44's 4 Speed Aftermarket rear sway bar Horrible wiring Not a lot of rust surprisingly And the rest was old and stock. When I brought it to the dealership (its current home) Videos of the first day after juspstarting it A couple in the shop Starting the teardown Motor out man I wish it was this easy on all Nissans WOOPS notice anything I love this machine This is the rust (besides the doglegs) The plans now are: ENGINE this Larger valves Good cam Port Turbo head bolts Race oil pan Rotating assy. balance Block refresh (rings, bearings) LD28 main bolts Aluminum radiator All on the E31 head and my low mileage 83 zx flat top block BODY + SUSPENSION Rust repair Color change Lots of POR15 Full EZ2WIRE kit Hopefully all AZC suspension CV shafts and LSD Toyota front brakes and ZX rears When finished it will have between 10.8 and 11.6:1 cr and 4 sticky tires to run wheel to wheel hopefully in "pro-auto" This is the beginning of a long haul project but I love it
