us944
New poster to the site, silently picking everone's brains. Took my new-to-me, stock 1976 280Z to a HPDE event 18 months ago. Came home and started working on replacing the suspension and brakes. Never worked on a Z before, so 18 months later I am ready for our first DE with www.chinmotorsports.com at Sebring March 22nd. All urethane, relocated lower control arm, sectioned struts, Koni race shocks, coilovers (200/225), EMI camber plates, Wilwood 4 piston calipers with vented rotors all around, portioning valve and big sway bars. Going to run my 16" Panasports until I get the track wheel situation straight. Just got a track/street alignment and hoping everything goes well but I am sure there will be sorting out to be done. If you are familiar with Z's on the track, feel free to give advice!!! Chin allows spectators for free, also allows rides with instructors (that's me) if you have a helmet (Snell 2000 or better) for a $20 fee. If you come out, be sure to come by and say hello to the white 280 AND help me out!. Thanks for lots of information and help from John Coffee and this site, I will be back after the 22nd with a report on how it went. Thanks, Nick

us944
Thanks, will be behind the wheel so no pictures, but Chin usually has a photographer and the shots are posted on their site.
us944
Success! Great outing at the Sebring Chin event. Still needs to be sorted out but for the first event I was very happy. I ran 15" MiniLites with Proxy RA1's and they stuck like glue, very fast in the corners. Still needs more hp to max out the fun... Here are a few pictures. http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii104/us944/eBay/1976%20Datsun%20280Z/DSCN3396.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii104/us944/eBay/1976%20Datsun%20280Z/3-22-2008-18.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii104/us944/eBay/1976%20Datsun%20280Z/3-22-2008-28.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii104/us944/eBay/1976%20Datsun%20280Z/3-22-2008-29.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii104/us944/eBay/1976%20Datsun%20280Z/3-22-2008-30.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii104/us944/eBay/1976%20Datsun%20280Z/3-22-2008-26.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii104/us944/eBay/1976%20Datsun%20280Z/3-22-2008-15.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii104/us944/eBay/1976%20Datsun%20280Z/3-22-2008-13.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii104/us944/eBay/1976%20Datsun%20280Z/3-22-2008-10.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii104/us944/eBay/1976%20Datsun%20280Z/3-22-2008-06.jpg
