Guest Anonymous
An open diff can easily spin both tires evenly. To tell if it's a LSD, lift rear wheels off the ground, put it in gear(or hold the driveshaft if it's an auto) and spin 1 rear tire by hand. If it's an LSD you will feel significant resistance. If it's not a LSD, it will spin freely. ------------------ Morgan http://z31.com/~morgan/s30 http://carfiche.com
Guest kc6wfs
A quick question. In my Z I have a R180.. Not sure of the ratio.. But I thought the R180 were not of the LSD types? I know there was a option for LSD's. I just did a dice long 50' butnout in 1st gear (V8) and it had a nice even 2 wheel burn out. Left and right sides were the same. I know the guy I mought the car from autocrossed it. Is the double burnout from from the LSD??? How can I tell if it's a LSD or from the burnout should consider it a LSD?? Also the car tracks nice and straight during a burnout. Thanks.. Dave Booth ------------------ www.geocities.com/kc6wfs/240z.html
