OlderThanMe
Check out this photo of the tornado that ripped down through Downtown Atlanta last weekend...(left side) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DF0FFU1KAm0 There was up to 4.5" hail coming down. Most of it was about 2" though when it did come down. Thankfully we only had it pea-sized...

Evan Purple240zt
Wonderful time to be in GA, we were in cartersville when that happened. Then saturday evening a tornado touched down 3 miles from my GF's aunts house. We had just left that morning. Weather was BAAAD but we magically missed it. I am glad it seems that most everyone made it out safely. Evan
DavyZ
2" hail easily breaks windows and dents cars (think: ball-peen hammer). I went through that in Munich, Germany in the 1980's. I can't imagine what 4" hail combined with tornado force could do! Steel and concrete are my friends. Glad you were OK out where you live, OTM! OlderThanMe
Glad you were OK out where you live, OTM! Davy Thanks Davy! The weather was really weird that day. I think it had the slight hail in the morning but that was before all the tornadoes. It only lightly rained once in the afternoon. The rest of the day was partly cloudy. The storms missed my place by about ten miles. Mind you that I am just east of Stone Mountain about 20 miles from downtown...LOL I watched the storms come over Atlanta and veer to the south or to the north of me. gogriz91
That picture is incredible. We were spared the tornados but got a lot of rain down south.
