Dudeboy
I am getting ready to re-wire the whole car, and going through the different threads it seems most LS swaps that utilize the Taurus fans, let the computer control the fan. If my car is going to be 50% street car, 50% track car would it be better to control the fan with on/off toggle switches?
JSM
I wouldn't. Spend the $50.00 and get the thermostat controller. Cheap insurance just in case you forget. I forgot once and almost regreted it.
rwwisnesky
I did get a themostat and set it to come on at 180%. I also ran it thru a toggle that has 3 positions: low speed, hi speed and off. The thermostat controls the temp it comes on, the toggle controls fan speed and off position.
rwwisnesky
P.S. - I did not run the fan controls thru the computer. I figured it had enough to worry about just running the engine !!!
Dudeboy
Thank you. They way my dash/toggle panel is set-up I have the toggle switch right there, also the last time I was at a test and tune, I notice the f-body and corvette guys bypass the computer using the fans and had toggles to control the fans and other accessories, but the fans with LS cars stood out to me. Thanks, Glenn
