skib Posted May 25, 2008 Share Posted May 25, 2008 Hey guys, I have a 73' 240z with an L26 with 4 screw round top SU's and I cant get it to stay running. I swapped the L26 in about a week ago and got it running pretty good, i drove it every day to work and around and had no problems untill one day i started getting backfire from the intake. I tryed adjusting the timing and carbs to fix it and got it to stop backfiring but now Ill go out and try to start it and it'll be firing but just sputtering at no more than 3-400 RPMs and then dies. I'v adjusted the timing, fiddled with the carbs and had the choke on and off. My flow meeter just came in lastnight so I was going to tune the carbs but i cant even get it to idle now.
