Magnum380Z
Ok after a lot of thought and time, calculatiions Etc,Etc Im going to go with the Magnum 5.9 from an R/t Dakota. These engines from the factory produce about 256hp or so in their stock form. more power is easily obtainable from these engines with some tweaks here and there which would make the power somewhere in the 300's with just a better air intake and headers..So the sky is the limit after that and the prices are not to bad as far as getting the performance up in these engines, they are comparable to Ford, Chevy.. Im going to Use a 1978 360 short block for a mock up/ Mule, Since the magnum Block is similar and still has the old style mounting ears on it. As mentioned above i will be using the Toyota R154 trans for this conversion. I have not yet started fabrication on the mounts or anything, but i did manage to get the Engine comparment cleaned up some . I wll Post pics of the Motor mounts iam going to use and the engine compartment. I will keep you guys posted thanks for looking UPDATE : here are the motor mounts . the one on the left is for an Chrysler Car 66 to 78 . the other is for dodge trucks late 60s early 90.
