Guest Anonymous
In the Oct '01 issue of Forza magazine Tony Palladino's tech section has a neat way to prevent CV joint boots from tearing. In a nutshell, centrifugal force causes grease to mitigrate toward the boot, stretching it and ultimately tears form. What he does to prevent this is to apply long tie wraps between each bellow to a 'zero lash' tightness, restricting the boot from deformation. For those of you using diffs w/CV joints or for the other more 'mundane' forms of transportation in the family it seems worth a try.
