Problems ordering driveshaft

So i wanted to get ready to race soon and finally got around to order a driveshaft. I called Denny's and he told me that he wasn't able to do it. I explained to him that i had the adapter flange for the chevy ujoints. He told me that he couldn't do it because he needed the nissan flange with it since that how it goes in the machine. I was kind of bewildered because I thought all he needed was the length but after about the third time he told me couldn't do it i gave up. Anyway i went to a machine shop about 40 minutes away and he said he could make it no troubles. I'll pick it up friday and the guy is about 75 years old so i know he knows his stuff. I was just kind of shocked that denny's couldn't do it. Anyone get a driveshaft made for there z from denny's? It was all for better though because i saved a good bit of money and i know it will be qaulity.
