Recommended Posts

ok well ive been working on this for a good 3 days now, and yes ive searched many of swap threads, and would like to make sure i have everything wired correctly. i think i have a bad ignitor, but am not 100% sure. i am about to go by one for 160 dollars, and before i go by one.. id like to double check everything with the fellow Z gods.

You checked ebay for an ignitor? Your pics and labling are great. You should label all the plugs and include the wires for the fuel pump and main power to help others.

I've got an extra one that I paid $10 for from the junkyard. Your more then welcome to it for 10 plus shipping. I have not verified if it works, nor can I currently w/ my 280zxt motor out of the car.

Are you getting a pulse on the negative (-) side of coil when you crank the engine. If you use a test light ground the clip and touch the terminal (-) with the probe light. The light should come on while cranking the engine and appear to be pulsing Brighter as the signal comes through. If the neg side of the coil does not pulse the ECU is not sending the signal
