Guest Anonymous Posted January 31, 2002 Share Posted January 31, 2002 I have this 2004R service code # that reads 144 2T84BQ1240 My interpretation is :A Buick trans made on the 144th day of 1984 at Twin Rivers My question is what does "Q" mean????? If the code stated: BR; that would mean Buick Regal. This is the service code off an ebay transmission for sale.. The local Buick dealer does not know nor does the local trans shops.Maybe the Q was misread by the seller.The seller is claiming that it is a 1986 Buick GN/Ttype.(Turbo Scottie: Can you unravel this code????) The ebay seller confirms that the questionable letter is a "Q".The bid is around $70.00 with a $40.00 shipping fee. Auction Ends in a day or two. I have learned quite a bit about the 2004R but mystified about the "Q".
