Guest NESS89
Sup guys. This is the fist time i post on this forum, although ive read tons of threads here. So ive been looking for a good solid 240z that i can put an rb in. All i had found were a bunch of rusty non running cars. Untill last week. I found my 240z with absolutely ZERO rust on the floor boards or body. It has a running 79 280zx engine and tranny, wealded r200 rear diff, electronic ignition, 4 piston toyota brakes in the front, and it actually runs. The guy i bought it from also included the stock rear diff, another set of dual webber carbs and manifold, extra electronic distributor, weatherstripping for the back, rear spoiler and other little things. All this for $900. ps. car use to be orange thats why the floor boards are orange ness89
jakeoster
Sweet looking car! Just out of curiosity, why were you looking for a running car if you are going to swap an RB into it? Im actually jealous of your 240z, I couldnt find one so I went with a 280z and am stuck with those horrendous bumpers and such. Welcome to Hybridz! Would you mind sharing where in California you are from? It would be cool to have an RB-Z socal group or something of the sort.
Guest NESS89
Im in the bay area up north, hayward to be exact. I was looking for a running car so i can drive it around and move it. I didnt want it just sitting at my house since i already got another project just sitting there waiting for parts. I looked all over craigslist and found a few nice 240z. But all the ones i would go look at didnt run. The one i finally bought was from sacramento, so i drove almost 2 hours to go get it. It was definetly worth it though. I say we should start a cali rb-z group type thing for everyone in cali with a rb in a Z. ness
