Nissan A/T 2-3 shift point

/T when the convertor locks up. However, the shift point (under normal driving conditions) from 2 to 3 is to high. The engine seems to hunt and hover rather than shift. It will shift if the throttle is backed off to raise manifold vacuum to the modulator valve but that's a pain to drive that way. TheMy question is: Does anyone know if the modulators are the same in the gas vs diesel trans, or are the actuator rods different lengths?

Next step and the engine has lots of low-end torque so the stall speed works out fine.
