Guest Asta-Rolf's Sis
Helping my brother sell his beloved 1971 Datsun 240Z with a 260Z engine. Have learned a lot here and at the Classic Zcar Club about his classic. We've been reluctant to sell since we've been enjoying the ride so much this past year. We had work done, and originally listed it with help from many 240Z admirers this past year to decide on "value" to set the selling price. The recommendation was $4100 for this California native. Subsequently the wipers quit working and we discovered potential rust problems with the help of others of no great significance, but nonetheless dropped the price. There are lots of links included with pictures, highlights and problems along with some movie files (mpg) so the engine sounds can be heard. I'd sure LOVE to hear from you in terms of the value here. The ride is GREAT, the engine sounds like it should and we're getting ready to post to eBay to sell using Paypal the month of October, 2008. We'd sure appreciate your assessment/input in terms of "is it worth 4100 or 2800 as we're now considering?" Here's the link that has updates and details.... http://www.classiczcars.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3227 and here for today's updates: http://www.dropshots.com/AstaCCS Thanks so much for your expertise and insight. Asta - Rolf's Sis P.S. I was doing some research to find Wiper Motor parts/costs for this '71 and found a fix and rebuild and they claimed it could serve '70, '71 and upward ..... cost was good, but didn't trust it, so let it go. Today found none available. Some have stated that most can easily fix wiring issues. Unclear about the fix or outcome. So much to learn.
