Guest Anonymous Posted April 22, 2002 Share Posted April 22, 2002 I have a 280a tranny sitting around doing nothing special and was wondering if it was worth re-building it for use with my 3.0L L28. I have the usual 280b tranny in there now w/a 3:70 LSD unit. Any thoughts suggestions as to whether I should have it done and if so are there any parts I should get that are non-stock (NISMO, etc)? Guest Anonymous Posted April 23, 2002 Share Posted April 23, 2002 Okay, I got the answer now. Found the transmission, diff ratio site and show how the earlier 5-spd compares to the 280b tranny. I don't expect an answer based on my first post on this site but here goes: after looking at the graph I couldn't see why you would switch over to a 4:11 diff from say a 3:70 or 3:90 ?
