fixed clunk-now reareand rattle

I drive a 76 280z stock. No racing for me, though i do a little impromptu drag sometimes. On my diff, i did the JTR cable mod and put rubber under the cable bolts. This killed most of the vibe on the freeway and on downshift clutch-outs. However, there is now an obnoxious rattle-rattle comeing from the rear of the car. I dont know wether i didnt notice it before, or if it is new, but it is pissing me off.

What the hell could this be? The only theories i have is that the diff or 1/2 shafts are hitting something or the diff is low on oil. It had a slow leak till i torqued the bolts down good. Low oil or wrong type of oil, could that cause noise? Or what else?

Could be lots of different stuff. One thing to do is poke around under the car. Try jacking it up by the rear arms (be very careful, very, very careful. Did I emphasize that enough?) so that you can turn the wheels and see if the shafts are hitting something - ebrake cable for instance.

My parts car R200 was a bit crunchy. I opened it up and discovered that it was full of water. Very rusty. Very much garbage now.
