7MGFORCE Posted December 9, 2008 Share Posted December 9, 2008 hi my goal 400whp engine: 7mgte use: street driving and a little back road drag racing. after alot of reading and thinking i decided that the best and budget allowed way to solve my problem is just adding a surge tank in my 74 260z. my set up will be based on this http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=122978&highlight=surge+tank i want to double check this. --with this set up i wont need any modification on the tank right? --can i use any carb filter for the feeder pump? any cheap ones out there? --and second ive read that the stock z pump will be enough to feed the high pressure pump. is there other cheap fuel pump that can be used as a feeder? i dont want to use my super old pump. --i will be using a walbro inline fuel pump as my high pressure. --any body used a stock supra fuel filter? i have had supra thats rated around 450whp and used the STOCK filter and never had any problem. but supras are in tank pump. would it matter if it in line?
