mark.deady
well i am going to be starting gathering the parts for my v8 swap... i am having trouble deciding weather i should do a sbc 383 with a 5speed or do a ls126 with a t-56 the catch is with the ls1 i want to run her stock but with a ms3 cam and the victor jr intake and msd setup... that do you think will be the most street able and longest durability set up... thanks mark
rwwisnesky
Its hard to go wrong with the LS1 / T56 along with John's Cars mount kit. The LS1's seem to last forever from what I have seen. A friend at work has a LS1 Camero, 170,000 miles on it, stock. Still does around a 100 in the quarter at 5280 elevation. I only put a few thousand miles a year on my LS1 Z car, so it should be good for another 50 years.
