stwrangler
The last thing to do is make the tach work, I used the blue wire from the ign box with a 15k resister and connected to the HEI tach output. The tach stay maxed 99% of the time, when it dose move it's all over the place. My ? is can I connect the HEI output straight to the tach with the resister and bypass the stock wiring,if so what which terminal (top or bottom)
Administrators BRAAP Posted January 25, 2009 Administrators Share Posted January 25, 2009 Is this the OE Z car tach? If so, what year tach are you using? For what its worth, the '78 tach will not work with the HEI. '74-'77 will. Something different in the '78.
