Ray Posted November 1, 2002 Share Posted November 1, 2002 A 96 T5 would be world class but depending on what it was off of it may be hard to adapt. The GM T5 for 96 only came behind the V6 and it has a different bolt pattern on the front and the input shaft is longer. The ford verison is the same way only came behind the 6 and didn't adapt to anything else. Now if you have an older case and input shaft you can swap the guts and everything should fit but as for a direct swap you need an older trans...
