piston
i dont know if this is the right forum, if not, please put it in the correct forum. i was wondering if anyone can please show how to properly remove and install a windshield on a datsun z. im doing stripping my new z down at the moment and removed my windshield yesterday and it cracked. the rubber mold was solid hard and the thing would not budge. i had to cut the outside rubber around the windshield and pry out the windshield inch by inch. at the end, i just crack it and smashed it and rolled it out. i was getting a new one anyways. so to the restore pros, please show how to properly remove and install a winshield on a z. pics would be nice too. and also, how to install the rear glass if possible. thanks. Challenger
There are numerous threads where people have explained this. Id consider just going to your local glass shop and having them do it. Mine turned out to be about $170 to install both with a new front windshield. It was really worth it.

piston
ok, i just found out how to do this. stupid me, dont know why nothing came up earlier. i guess the only easy way out is to cut it carefully around the edges of the windshield and pop it out with plastic shank lifting upwards.
