240Z Doors - Weight reduction mod's

Here is an email from them I got a while back:

 

Hi David,

Thanks for the enquiry,

list of our parts

Bonnet pin-on $345.00

Bonnet hinged $483.00

Hatch pin-on $276.00

Hatch hinged $345.00

Guards standard $345.00 each

Guards flared $396.00 each

Bumpers F&R $138.00 each

Dash $345.00

Flares $55.00 each

Lower front panel $150.00

Gnose $500.00

Dashboard cover $110.00

Sill covers $55.00 each

We will have moulds for complete doors in a few months to.

Weights are:

bonnet hinged 7kg

Guards 4.5 kg each

Hatch hinged 4kg.

Might as well add to this old thread vs Starting new.  1973 240z on a major diet as it becomes a track only car.

 

Each door stock was about 66lbs if I remember (includes probably 8 coats of paint and 40 years of dried juice and jam inside there).

Drivers door getting Nascar Bars so I removed the inner beam and got a final weight of about 29lbs with hinges and the empty window frame.

 

They are pretty flimsly and don't close well so I will reinforce once the jungle-gym is installed.
