ShaggyZ
A guy on SupraForums.com is sticking a 2JZ-GTE in his 4Runner and will also be using Megasquirt. Actually he's already got video of it up and running, though not driving. He's using LS2/truck coils and he has modified his stock crank sensor wheel so it's a 12-1 wheel for the stock 2JZ crank sensor to read. I was planning on using the stock crank sensor and the rear cam sensor for TDC per Speeder's note in another thread. Apparently the 12-1 is accurate enough for this guy and I think he's shooting for ~500HP, though I don't recall. I haven't gone headfirst into Megasquirt or standalones in general yet, but I do seem to recall a 12-1 not providing very good "resolution." My post here has a two-fold purpose: 1.) to show others this can be done and 2.) to get some thoughts from the HybridZ perspective. I'll probably go the same route as this guy because it's simple, it works, and I can hit him up for some fuel/ignition maps. I was planning to use the LS2/Truck coils, as well. http://supraforums.com/forum/showpost.php?p=6660578&postcount=
