ok.. im new tonight to this site. and i know this topic has been beat to death.. hence my hours of reading.. i have a early 70 car. i read Jon Mortensen (is this the old school racer?) write up. very educational. but im confused of what i have and how to use it in an early z. this diff was sitting loose in a car i bought years ago.

it does have a "finned" cover. it does say 37:9 which equal= 4:11.. right?

from what ive read this ratio was not used in the 87-89 turbo cars? so i figure it must be from a 85-86 200sx? but the finned cover?

so please tell me what i have.. and help me understand in short what i need to do differently to install in a 70. i am going to use a late zx 5spd.

1) sounds like i should use half shafts from a 300zxt?

2) driveshaft?

3) tranverse piece from any 72 (curved) and on?

4) use r200 rear diff cross member?

5) front mount?

im trying to give and get the short direct answers. any info/advice from the old pros is appreciated. heres the pics of what i have. thank you!
