85' 300Z ECU/MAF in 83' 280ZX

I am 18 years of age, so excuse any difficulty you may have understanding my post or writing.

 

My father ended up picking up a good looking 83' 280ZX with supposedly a rebuilt 3.1L original engine, non-turbo. On the title it goes onto say GL, its only a 2-seater. I have since read much on the history and love my Z.

 

I seen much on the forum about swaping a newer ECU to this current setup and had a chance to take parts from an 85 300Z one time or another but the ECU said it came out of an 84 (so one time or another they wanted a replacement too!)

 

What all is needed... here is the current list of what I have and what else would I need?

 

1. MAF w/clip from 85' 300Z
   
2. ECU w/cut harness but has clips from 84' 300Z
   

I think what else is needed is a knock sensor and a few other things and wiring diagram to do it? I am really wanting the better fuel mileage and small amount of power -- I hate the old MAF. I am hoping someone can help or give me sight of what else is needed. They are both non-turbo.
