BLKMGK
While trying in vain to find some interior resto parts for the woman's Impalla SS I stumbled across some info on Slick50. It seems these folks have had at least one lawsuit filed against them for making false claims - and lost! http://www.b-body.net/Technical/Reference/slick50.html I know oil additives have been mentioned here at least once so I thought I'd point this out for everyone. Hmm! P.S. Finally stumbled onto an Impalla SS WEB ring. Why did none of these sites show up in any of the 4 search engines I tried?! Sheesh, and I thought parts for Zs were hard to find - I get lot's of hits on Z search terms!
Guest Anonymous
slick 50 was actually shown to INCREASE engine wear in some cicumstances. Of course it never actually decreased wear or "rejuvinated" your engine or anything. They were sued by uncle sam and lost and were forced to change their advertising. Now only if they would sue all of them and put them out of buisness! It's called snake oil for a reason.... ------------------ Morgan morgan@z31.com http://carfiche.com http://z31.com
Guest zfan
99.9999 PERCENT OF THAT STUFF IS PURE CRAP!!! IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. MIKE
Guest Drewz
Just my 2 cents, when the oil filtre becomes plugged from all the teflon(which sheds oil) the oil bypasses the oil filtre via a small gallery above the filtre. HMMMMMMMMMM! Unfiltred oil. Nothing, in my opinion, replaces a good synthetic and a tight maint. schedule. Felt the urge to share. Suprise!(LOL) ------------------ Drewz
