Guest Anonymous
Has anyone wired the headlights so that low beam is just the low beam filament and high beams are both filaments? Any idea if it would overheat the bulb or anything silly like that? The wiring in my car is a basket case - the signals quit working this afternoon, and just now the fuel pump died(Gimp wiring from previous moron owner). I guess it's time to start the re-wiring in earnest now. Also, anyone used the aircraft style circuit breakers in place of fuses? Good idea or not? ------------------ Morgan http://z31.com/~morgan/s30 http://carfiche.com
Guest pauli
it's common enough that you can buy a generic part to do it for you. so it's doable.

Guest Fast Frog
Morgan: Blinker lites: If it's not your flasher or fuse, then pull your emergency flasher switch and find the always hot positive lead (there's just one). Connect your blinker positive lead to it and take the blinker ground and ground it to the chassis under the dash. This will make your blinkers work but the down side is that the blinkers will now work with the ignition both on and off. Just don't forget to turn your blinkers off when you stop and get out of the car! Fuel pump: If it's not the fuel pump relay or the fuel pump that's the problem, then take a long length of wire (8-9ft) and attach it directly to the Pos side of the fuel pump and run it up to your ignition switch. On the ign switch there is one lead that is on only when the key is in the "on" and "start" mode. Make sure your ground is good. I can't help you with the head lite prob!
