Guest chondox
I just bought my z about two weeks ago. I bought it knowing that it had some overheating problems and figured it was the radiator/thermostat. I flushed the radiator, changed the thermostat (it was rusted out), and replaced the fan clutch. It seemed to do fine at first, but then after i took it on the freeway for a bit (going about 70 mph/ 3k rpm) and then it overheated on me...pulled over and popped the hood....manifold was cherry red. It has a cold start problem as well....but after starting it up in the morning and revving for a bit, it's fine for the rest of the day. It passed smog two weeks ago....and seems to run fine in town, and haven't taken back on the freeway...or gone over 55 since then.... If you could help me out it would be great! thanks
jyz77
^ ditto.. if no problem w/ ignition system next would be to put a fuel pressure guage inline before the fuel rail . ck your pressure @ idle and also w/ high rpms.
