chrismiller5157 Posted July 9, 2009 Share Posted July 9, 2009 here's the deal, my A/C blow's cold, but only blow's out of the 2 front vent's when it feel's like it, other wise it blow's out of the floor vent's an 'only a VARY VARY little out of the front vent's when it's come out of the floor vent's......i was just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem an if so what was rong. also when i turn on the A/C i can hear a grinding sound for about 2 sec's then it gose away. i have tryed looking for post over it an can't find anything. maby you can help me out. Guest Rolling Parts Posted July 9, 2009 Share Posted July 9, 2009 It sounds like the vacuum operated air doors are not working. It could be as simple as one of the small vacuum lines has split. I'd first check under the hood and make sure that the small vacuum lines (that pass through the firewall) are all intact end-to-end. There is also the main vacuum source line that attaches to the rear of the intake manifold and runs to the vacuum "accumulator" reservoir where the other 2 vacuum lines connect.
