DavyZ
I can't say that I have heard of such a swap since I have been a member here, but I have heard of the swap being done on Datsun 510's. The Z is a lot like a 510, and i'm not sure it would be that difficult to do. For some really good pictures of rotary 510 conversions, visit here: http://www.bryanf.com/mycars/yf/index.htm You can use this info and apply it to the Z. Good luck! Guest RXO510
I have a rotary Datsun 510 and also a rotary Datsun 1200. The Z would be much easier to fit in a rotary engine. I'm sure it can be done easily. I think the 510 and the 1200 is a much harder fit.
Guest
i'd really like to talk to someone who has done it though. if it is at least documented it'll be alt easier. thanks
BLKMGK
Lookup some of the 510 sites. I realize that it's not a Z but th eZ engine bay is actually bigger. The 510 guys have documented this on at least one site pretty well. Figure you could do the same thing only not have to notch the firewall I think it owul dbe a neat swap but you'd want to find a 4series gear for the rear and turbo that sucker for some real fun!
