Venture
I had a performance cam in my N42 head. It went flat due to in proper valve lash and years of abuse. I have an N47 head laying around and I was wondering if it would fit. I know the oiling systems are different, so would I still need the squirters or would the oil flow through the cam like on the N47 head? I have a F54 block with flat top pistons running about 10.5:1 compression if that makes any difference.
Administrators BRAAP Posted July 31, 2009 Administrators Share Posted July 31, 2009 It will fine. Oil will flow through the cam and the spray bar, redundant cam lobe oiling! You can also swap the cam towers to eliminate the spray bar, just be sure to number the towers and keep them in the same position when you reinstall them.
