Guest greimann
Just thought I would share some info about a vehicle simulation software I have been using for awhile to test various changes to engine drivetrain, etc. It is called Cartest and it can be found at: Cartest There are two versions: DOS (shareware) and Windows ($34.95). The program is very comprehensive and accurate. You can build a vehicle from scratch or copy an existing one from the database and modify it to your own specs. After you have built your car, you can race it against any number of other cars in the database. You can drag race or road course race. I recently used it to simulate the performance difference between a 3.73 and 3.54 rear gear ratio. In my case I can actually pick up .1 sec in the quarter by going with the 3.54. Who would have known?
