dmanzo57
My ignition switch seized up the other day. I had to remove the rear electrical part of the switch and turn it with a screw driver to get the car started. How do I remove the keyed part of the switch? Thanks, Don
Mike kZ
Take plastic cover off, There are four bolts holding the assembly on, two are regular bolts, the other two are roung head bolts. You need to slot the round head bolts, with a dremol or something, then use a screw driver to back out the bolts.

dmanzo57
Thanks again, Mike. That did the trick. After I got it loose from the steering column, I opened it up, cleaned, and lubed it. It works great now! Don
Guest Anonymous
I got advice here to just drill out those two rounded head bolts (anti theft screws) and the head will come right off after a bit of drilling, then you pull the unit, my new one came with screws, they're kinda cool, you keep tightening until the bolt head pops off leaving those round head screws. I thought it was gonna be hard, but it went pretty fast with a cordless drill. Regards, Lone
