Guest Anonymous
I have a 71 240z with a 87 5.7L TPI Z28 running a dual fanned stock radiator. The set up works well even on hot San Diego days. Its not the case in the cockpit however. Even with a great flip-up sunroof you fry on warm days. I am working on an AC set up but I think most of the problem would be solved if I could improve airflow through the engine compartment. What is your experience with vented hoods, extra side vents. I am also considering wrapping my exhaust manifolds and pipes. This can't be a unique problem. ------------------
Guest Anonymous
My big problem is that the exhaust warms up the floorpan and transmission tunnel from the firewall back to the storage compartments. When it's 100f here the metal is hot enough to burn you. But I have no tar insulation and no carpet, and sandy eggo isn't as hot as it is here..... Do you have carpet an the tar insulation in your car? Perhaps wrapping the exhaust would help? Bypassing the heater core might help also if air bleeds through it all the time like it does in my car! ------------------ Morgan http://z31.com/~morgan/s30 http://carfiche.com
