Joe_Leen
Hi All, Cylinder one injector isn't getting a signal from the ECU, checked with oscilloscope. So wanted to know if the 300ZX twin turbo engine runs grouped injection. If so I can tie onto another injector temporarily until i replace the ECU. And if it is grouped injection, what cylinders are grouped together? Thanks, Joe
Administrators BRAAP Posted March 13, 2010 Administrators Share Posted March 13, 2010 (edited) You mentioned Twin Turbo, yet posted in the Z31 section? Is your ecu from a Z-31 or Z-32? If Z-32, it runs under both sequential and batch fire, depending on conditions. Interesting you lost signal from the ECU on one cylinder. Maybe a bad injector driver in the ECU? I know the injectors themselves for the N/A Z32 go bad, almost regularly! Edited March 13, 2010 by BRAAP Which car is it?
Joe_Leen
It is a twin turbo with it's own ecu, I'm not totally familiar with these cars so apologies for posting in the wrong section. I agree, must be a driver gone. Changed the injectors on two cylinders also, these cars seem to eat them, apparently something to do with leakage of fuel into the coil windings. Thanks for your help !

Thanks for your help ! I'm familiar with the N/A VG30DE engine having a veracious appetite for its fuel injectors, experienced that first hand with my '93 300-ZX, was on its 3rd set of injectors prior to selling it. I don't recall the TT version having such an appetite, wouldn't surprise me though.
