Scott_M67
When we bought this '77 the battery area and firewall were rotted away and the PO started to cut the sheet metal away. Fortunately, thanks to Marcos from the forum he as able to find a nice rust free donor section for us to install. Using my Spotle spot weld cutter I had to disassemble the panels in order to install them in the car. With the firewall panel cut out we were able to really clean out the cowl area and apply POR-15. With the battery tray section removed I was able to really coat it well with white epoxy primer before installing it. The top section of frame rail near the fireall was rotted so I cut and spliced in a rust free portion. Next step is to install the new floor pan from a our parts car and then the Bad Dog rail supports. mysteremech
Good Job. I need that same area of the firewall and extending on down about the first 10 inches or so of the floorboard. Who on the forum was able to source this for you and, if you don't mind me asking, what did it cost you?
