Guest tom sixbey
hey guys - i've got a tan interior that i want to convert to black. can i put the 260Z Vinyl shock tower trims in a 240? - if i can, it would save me a lot of money over ordering them new... BTW - will the overhead window/windshied trim around the headliner of a 260 fit a 240?
RPMS
I've never tried to retrofit one to the other, so I'm really speaking through my hat here, but I've owned both 240 and 260, and the rear trim APPEARS to be the same. I think the hard plastic pieces are different, to accomodate the dual hatch struts. If you already have the 260 vinyl, try it and see. You've got nothing to lose. Let us know what you find, and good luck!
Guest Anonymous
I know that all hatch plastic panels on 74 and later cars will interchange. I do not know about earlier cars, however. The vinyl should be interchangeable as well except that either the 76 or 77 cars saw the seat belt mechanism move to the top of the strut tower instead of the location above the quarter window.
