KROz
After almost a year of waiting, the project is starting to pick up. I had a thread on it before, but it was in the wrong place, and many things I wrote were pretty naive, so I decided to start up a new thread in the right spot on the forums. I've been doing plenty of reading on the site, at least an hour a day on here, so don't let the low number of posts fool you, I'm not as big of a Newb as you might think, not to say I a lot about everything. Alright then, enough rambling. I've been sanding the car down, breaking through the surface rust to see what's underneath, and I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised with the condition. Looks like it should be on the road within a few months. WOOHOO!! Under the bondo and surface rust i found the quarter panel to be in better shape than i had anticipated. I'm not entirely sure what to do with it though. I know that I want to put ZG's on it eventually, so I don't know if it would be best to buy a quarter replacement, make my own fender to bolt the flair onto, or just cut out the rust and place a flair on. The dogleg is rusted out, so that will need to be replaced, but overall I'm not too sure where to start here. Same with this side, it isn't as bad, as it was protected through the years with an inch coat of bondo, but still not sure what my best option would be. Floors are shot, big surprise there. I'll be getting new pans, just not sure where from though. Anyone have a preference between Zedd Findings and MSA's floor pans? Well that's it for today. I'll upload more pictures as a find interesting things to photograph.
T-Bone028
As I recall, Zedd Findings and MSA floors are one in the same. MSA just resells the Zedd Findings.
