Guest Anonymous
Hello everyone, I just wanted to say, that I have done it. I finally got the t56 into my 280zx. It runs like a champ. I love the ease it cruises down the highway. haven't got the clutch broken in yet, but soon as I do, it's off to the strip bye for now sean
Modern Motorsports Ltd
Great stuff! I missed any updates on it, was it hard to clearance? I want some underside shots so I can have my new exhaust routed such that it would clear a T56 if installed later on....which components did you use with it? slave/master etc...same as Mike Kelly? BLKMGK
I have some shots that migh thelp - up on a lift too I'll TRY to get them up tonight, otherwise bug me about it. I've also got shots of the entire exhaust removed and on the ground while the trans was being yanked out. This is on a 240Z BTW, very little clearancing needed to be done to the tunnel... Guest Anonymous
I'll try and get some pics of the exhaust. The componets are the same as Mike kelly. Clearance, now that was a pain in the butt. You have to remove the old stock mounts that are on the side of the tunnel, or the tranny won't fit. It took a cold chisel, and a dremel, and a grinder, and a lot of elbow grease. Also, you have to remove the one, center fin on the tranny case. That was easy though, just ground it right off with the grinder. I ended up making my own mount and welding it to the frame. Should work good. Still breaking in the clutch, so haven't gotten to really rip on it yet, can't wait though sean
