Guest Anonymous Posted January 20, 2002 Share Posted January 20, 2002 I believe 1979 and 1980 had different taillights than 1981-1983. If you notice, the '79-'89 taillights look somewhat like European 240Z taillights (long red on top, shorter amber and white on bottom) and the '81-'83 ones look more reminscent of the ones on a 280Z (the red on top and bottom and seperate white towards the license plate) That's what I've noticed anyways.
