Gilli
I'm getting rid of Fuel injection, and I was wondering If I need to keep any of the relays located in the relay bracket? I got rid of the fuel pump and I'm using a mechanical. And I got rid of A/C, The last one is the inhibitor switch. I was told it sends information of what gear the transmission is in to the computer. Since I will no longer have a computer, I don't need this one either correct? So can I just rid of the entire relay bracket & all the wiring along with it w/o screwing anything up? MikeyZee
Are you sticking with the auto trans or manual? The inhibitor switch is on the side of the gear selector of the trans. 2 leads going to it are to tell the car it can start in P or N. The other two are for your reverse lights. You can take the bracket off and just mount the needed relay(s) to the inner fender well. I'm not sure if any of the other relays EFI Main, Fuel Pump Control, and Fuel Pump relays are needed to tell the computer to keep running the car. I'm sure more will chime in.
