ToplessZ
Ok heres the deal. I have a 1977 280 that is a convertible conversion. I have a problem with the doors. There seems to be a larger than stock gap on the rear between the body panal and perhaps a little on the front too. I thought that the body might have been sagging for lack of support. However the gap is even all the way down the door and the body seems very straight. Is there some way these could be the wrong doors that were put on or what. I really dont like the gap. Wish I had some pics. Thanks guys
Guest Anonymous
You might shim the hinges with washers or plate shims which will move the door further back and adjust the front fender to decrease the front gap.
ToplessZ
Man cant believe I didnt think of the shims. That would be the easy route although not perfect. Kinda balance between front and rear door gap though. I dont have a digital camera so pics are nil right now. Any other possibilities??? thanks
